Nanny Service
We can help your organise an incredibly reliable Nanny service through out your stay. The Nannies are caring and experience and are flexible to cater for your needs whether it be looking after them in your property and taking them up the mountain to meet you for lunch, meeting and escorting them to and from ski school, or simply babysitting in the evening when you would like a relaxing meal out with just you and your partner or friends. Ski School
Ahh, the dread for many children - school during the holidays! Well they will soon realise that this is school with a difference!
Ski school is HIGHLY recommended if your children have not been skiing before, as they need to learn the basics and be taught by the professionals. They will also be in groups with other children, have fantastic fun and make lots of friends (aswell as probably not wanting to leave the slopes at the end of the day!) And of course, ski school allows adults to get a day's skiing in at their own pace!
We recommend 4 ski schools:
- BASS - 'British Alpine Ski and Snowboard School'.
- Avoriaz Ski School - British run ski school based at the top of Prodain lift. Great for beginners & intermediates wanting to progress quickly.
- Freedom2Ski - British run. Ideal for experienced/expert skiers looking for off-piste lessons & guiding or fine tuning their mogul or carving skiing.
- ESF Morzine - French ski school perfect for kids and apprehensive beginners.
Activities Day and Night
Deciding on how to keep your little ones busy with lots of fun things to do can be difficult at the best of times, not least when you are abroad and don't know the area well!
Fortunately Morzine provides plenty of activities for children, saving you from long evenings of potential boredom…
Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides
The horses troop around Morzine and surrounding areas, allowing you to see the beauty of the area, and of course provide a rather magical horse drawn carriage ride for children. Sleighs leave from the Tourist office and offer different routes for you to take.
Husky Rides
This really is something you can only do where there is snow! This is an activity that children (and adults) don't forget quickly!
You can have an adult in the back and child in the sled and follow your guide, so you are in control of the dog, or you can have guides control your dog and you sit in the sled - the choice is yours!
Outdoor Ice Rink
Take the little ones to the ice and teach them to skate - or maybe let them teach you how to skate!
Merry-Go-Round
The old antique Merry-go-Round will take the children on a magical journey and the adults on a journey back in time! Situated outside the tourist office it is a nice activity to do all year round!
French Toy Shops
There are two traditional toy shops in Morzine, the way they used to make them! They sell beautiful handcrafted toys, as well as modern ones which may appeal to some! Perfect for a little visit, or even just to enjoy a bit of window shopping!
Giant Board Games
Organised by the Morzine Tourist Office, the giant board games are just one of the organised activities by the Tourist Office. It is best to call in and see what they are offering, as they offer a lot of events and can change from time to time.
Indiana Bob
Indiana Bob is actually the name for Bobsleighing - however this time, it is at night, and going through the wooded slopes above Morzine!
You are taken to the peak of the 'Pleney' by the Pleney cable car, where you are free to shoot down the empty slopes with the views of a light lit Morzine below you. Beautiful and scary at the same!
